Workflows and broadcasts

Messages from GoHighLevel workflows and bulk sends go through Wappuccino just like the ones you type.

In workflows

  • In the workflow, use the GoHighLevel SMS action. With the account's Phone System provider set to Wappuccino, that message goes out on WhatsApp from your number.
  • Variables like {{contact.first_name}} are filled in by GoHighLevel before sending.
  • {WA#2} to pick the number (see Choosing the number) and buttons and lists work in the text too.
  • Wappuccino adds no triggers or actions of its own: you use GoHighLevel's. Customer replies arrive as normal messages, so triggers on incoming messages (for example "contains") work.

Sending to many contacts

You can paste the same text into a GoHighLevel bulk send. The link works like WhatsApp Web, though: WhatsApp can block numbers that send in bulk. Before a big send:

  • only message people who know you and expect it;
  • turn on the number's brakes: warm-up, hourly and daily limit, human pacing (see Warm-up and limits);
  • spread the send over several days and several numbers;
  • ask questions that invite a reply: replies protect the number;
  • personalize the text with the contact's name.

If a message does not go out

In the workflow the message is marked failed, with the reason. With the brakes on, a message can also wait (for example until the next hour): it is not lost, it goes out later.
